This scheme re-launches from 6th September 2010, there will be a series of events in October 2010.
Age UK and E.ON, the company that runs Powergen are working in partnership to launch a new service for older people called EnergyRight. This service is to help older people use their energy more wisely in order to stay safe, warm and healthy all year round. It aims to offer assistance to grants and schemes that offer free insulation and improved central heating systems along with simple energy efficiency advice that people can put into use to help reduce their energy consumption.
Trained volunteers will give information & advice on practical tips on energy efficiency and how to save money in your home, we can refer onto E.ON, who will submit any relevant applications for insulation measures, grants and schemes - these will also include benefit checks to see if you are claiming what you're entitled to.
EnergyRight Provides:-
- A FREE Energy Efficiency Advice
- Referral through to E.ON to assess where people might be eligible for grants and where they can make energy savings
- Helpful energy efficiency tips provided by trained EnergyRight volunteers
